There are three parts of ear: 1) outer ear, 2) Middle ear and 3) inner ear. Cancer of ear is a rare, most of these cancers start in the skin of the outer ear called ear canal cancer.

Commonest symptoms are pain ear, hearing loss, discharge from ear lump in an ear, may get weakness in face, ringing sensation in the ear. MRI and CT scan to know nature and extent of disease. Biopsy is required for confirmation of disease.

The type and extent of surgery depends upon location of tumor. Aim of surgery is to remove tumor with negative margin. Adjuvant therapy depending upon final histopathological report.
